Venue Location

Conference Venue Location has been changed from the Palazzo del Parco to the Council Chambers, Comune di Diano Marina. The new location is located only 150m from the originally planned venue, so it should not pose any problems regarding travel arrangements.

Accommodation
Accommodation arrangements should be made within the municipality of Diano Marina (Imperia) (in Italian: Comune di Diano Marina). As the municipality of Diano Marina is not very large (approximately 3 km long) with the train station positioned in the middle of town (a couple hundred meters back from the beach) and the conference venue beachfront almost any accommodation within the town is suitable. Payment for accommodation will be made upon arrival.

Option 1. Accommodations can be booked directly via email and/or use of online hotel communication. • Eden Park is one of the top hotels is the area. It is beachfront and requires a taxi service from the train station. It is approximately 2km from the conference venue.

3 Star Hotel, Hotel Morchio B&B, Viale Matteotti 32 [www.hotelmorchio.com]  [Highly Recommended]

• Hotel Morchio B&B is very close to both the train station and conference venue. It is the most conveniently located accommodation for the conference. It is positioned basically in the middle of the two. To make a reservation please email the hotel directly.
  

3 Star Hotel, Nettuno, Via Sant'Elmo 14  [www.hnettuno.it]  [Recommended]

• Nettuno is approximately 600m from the train station and 700m from the conference venue. It sits on the eastern edge of town and overlooks the marine coast of Diano Marina. Reservations must be made via direct communication with the hotel.

Option 2. (Under special circumstances) Accommodation can be booked by the Centre but it is preferred that individuals deal with hotel accommodation without the Centre acting as a managing middleman. If necessary, the following two recommended hotels can be made by emailing the Centre your intended day of arrival and departure and we will book the reservation for you. Note, after speaking with numerous hotel owners their has been a preference that hotel guests deal directly with the intended hotel reception. If you require the Centre to book for you we will email with your confirmed reservation within the 5 business days.

Transport and Travel to Diano Marina (Imperia)

All trains on the Italian Riviera of Flowers (Riviera dei Fiori) stop at Diano Marina (Imperia).
The Palazzo del Parco (conference venue) is approximately 300m from the Diano Marina train station.

Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE) [http://www.nice.aeroport.fr/?l=2]
Distance to Diano Marina (Imperia): 90km
Nice, France is located west of Imperia.
There are all-day trains from Nice to Imperia.
Train tickets can be purchased at the Nice train station.
From the Nice airport there is also a very limited bus service to Imperia (leaves once a day).

Distance to Diano Marina (Imperia): 100km
Genova (Genoa in English) is the capital city of the region of Liguria.
There is limited flights in and out of this airport but it is very convienent for travel to and from Imperia.
A shuttle bus is available from the airport to Genova's Stazione Principe train station where trains for Imperia leave approximately every hour.
Train tickets can be purchased at Genova's Stazione Principe train station.

Milan Linate International Airport (LIN)
Distance to Diano Marina (Imperia): 290km
Milan is the closest major metropolis to Imperia.
Malpensa is the largest of the two airports and has a train service directly within the airport to Milan Central train station.
From either airport you will need to go to Milan Central train station where train tickets can be purchased to Imperia.
Trains leave approximately every hour.
